Masters of sum: Establishing a pioneering new brand in the UK insurtech sector.

Nimbla is a UK-based insurtech startup on a mission to protect small and medium-sized businesses from the risks of late or failed payments. Powered by proprietary algorithms that instantly assess creditworthiness and insure invoices, Nimbla had a strong value proposition but needed a distinctive brand identity to cut through a crowded fintech landscape as it scaled and partnered with major players like Barclays.

We created a confident, modern visual identity and design system that gave Nimbla clarity, coherence, and personality. This extended into campaign platforms that communicated its benefits clearly to small business owners, financial partners, and investors. The impact was immediate — the refreshed brand elevated Nimbla’s presence and credibility, helping it secure £5.1m in funding and accelerate its mission to help SMEs trade with greater confidence.

Nimbla visual identity. A fresh, dynamic brand built around the folded ‘Zen-N’ symbol — representing growth, layered value, and the four key stages of invoicing: negotiation, sale, delivery, and payment. It signals positive cashflow and increased income — the lifeblood of any business. Nimbla launched at Accountex London in 2018, making an immediate impression in the finance and accountancy world.
